For the second year in a row Temp Academy will be bringing in a razorback legend. Ronnie Brewer, who starred for the razorbacks from 2003-2006 will make the trip all the way from Fayetteville, Ar where the 6’7 bouncy shooting guard now coaches. Ronnie, who was known for being an excellent teammate and leader for his razorback teams will look to talk and mentor the Academy kids as well as hold on the court workouts to teach the game of basketball. A wealth of knowledge and experience is expected to be shared as on top of all the college accolades Ronnie also excelled in the NBA after getting drafted as an lottery pick 14th overall enjoying a successful 8 year stint in the league.
President Maurice Templeton commented on the news saying ”It’s a huge blessing for the entire Academy but especially our kids. That’s who i’m most excited for, growing up in Morrilton these opportunities don’t come very often. It’s a huge deal, we’re looking foward to welcoming Ronnie in Temp Academy, putting in some work and talking with him.”
The workout looks to take place June 5th at an undisclosed place and time. Temp Academy’s newest members for it’s second season are expected to be in attendance although they have yet to be formally announced to the public.
